Letter of Mahdi Ibn ‘Abd al-‘Ali
Letter by Mahdi Ibn ‘Abd al-‘Ali [probably Muntasir Lashkar] in two parts, announcing that all the legal and military titles and positions belonging to the deceased ‘Amid Lashkar have been granted to his son, Mirza Abu Turab Khan, and the writer has been granted the title and position of Sar Rishtah Dar [the pay master]. The second part of the letter is addressed to the writer's sister, expressing sorrow and condolensces about 'Amid Lashkar's death.

The author fled from his creditors for six months; Habib Allah Khan, the son of Nasr Allah Khan, kept the author's bride during this period.
